If the drive had not worked for many months why are you just contacting us about it, you should had contacted us once the problem began. Not wait for months later to contact us & then try to get another for nothing, we appreciate your recommendations & business but we are running a business & love to serve our customers, but if the warranty that we provide on the product is up , past 6 months, I can't do anything else from there, if you would like send me your unit & I'll repair it or replace it for $ 200 shipped to you. That is the best I can do for you.
I don't know who this MBdoctor is, but 6 months is kinda long...
ReplyDeleteHe's got a point. He doesn't make the drive. Alpine does and the warranty is over... But aren't warranties usually 1 year?
If you read my post again, you will see that I had been contacting them from the very begining to get them to send me another nav dvd, i had thought that the disk was the problem and not the drive!! I think it was about 3 weeks after I got the drive that I started to have problems....and they knew it!!
ReplyDeleteWell... if you could find a brand new one somewhere the exact same model you could always buy it (for any price) and the very next day with perfect packaging return your old one DOA. Best Buy, Futureshop etc...
